Californians, despite their democratic majority and flexible way of life, have taken a decision yesterday that helped preserve some of the family integrity we still have left in this country. They voted YES, in favor for the Proposition 8. Yay!!
Along with voting for President, 52% of Californians voted YES for Proposition 8. Proposition 8 was an initiative that proposes the elimination of the right of same-sex couples to marry, granted by the California Supreme Court in May.
This proposition will change the California Constitution by adding a new section that will state that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in the state of California.
